The Painter's Journey

Paint thrills me in all its forms—acrylics, gouache, oils, pastels, egg tempera, watercolors—each medium offering unique possibilities for expression. The physical connection between artist and material is profound whether I'm working on stretched canvas, floor installations, or harder surfaces like wood and steel.

My artistic foundation combines six years of classical training copying Old Masters together with the liberating influence of the Support/Surface movement. This dual education shaped my personal artistic path, allowing me to move freely between tradition and innovation.

I work in distinct series, often inspired by nature's abstract patterns but never confined to one recognizable style. During COVID lockdown, I created a 365-piece pastel diary—one powerful work each day expressing my fluctuating emotions—which together form a pixelated visual record of that extraordinary time.

Like Picasso or Gerhard Richter, I embrace diverse visual expressions rather than a singular artistic identity. My work evolves continuously, capturing different moods, moments, and meanings throughout my creative journey.
